Prayer Road is the story of perseverance and determination, and, of course, prayer in a post-conflict world. Prayer Road follows the
true stories of the first Olympic athletes from the world’s newest nation, as they, their coaches, the International Olympic Committee
and United Nations staff members and peacekeepers put East Timor center stage at the Sydney Olympic Games.
Prayer Road tells
the story of the athletes who have had to fight for their very lives and existence as a new nation, from refugees camps to the cheers
of the world at the opening ceremonies, to their debut on the playing fields of sport and competition.
FRANK FOWLIE is a Canadian who served with the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor. Frank is now an international expert on conflict resolution. PHILLIP MOSES has published two previous novels. He has undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in English. He served in East Timor with the Australian Army. |
